Modern refraktive wavefront led surgery
The laser surgery / LASIK started at the beginning of the century a significant development of the refractiv surgery with milestones as wavefront operated LASIK, the All-Femto LASIK and the Small Incision Lenticule Extraction.

An equally rapid development within the last years happened with the refractive cataract- and lense surgery. Until now the predictability of the result refraction with LASIK (85% for +- 0,5 dpt., 99% for +-1 dpt. [1]) is much better then with refractive lense surgery.

Expectations of the patients
At the moment the middle agers (25-40 years) are the important customers for lense surgery. But more and more patients realize the benefits of modern implantable premium lenses.
Even for generation 60plus gets long living without glasses more and more interesting. More and more active seniors connect the removement of an cloudy natural lense  (Catarakt, Grey Star) with the implantation of an (contact-) lense into the eye and decide to procure premium IOLs, for getting free from glasses.
The percentage of patients with concret plannings in recent laser- and lense technology increases significantly, willing to spend an corresponding amout of money.

Result refraction & patient sadisfaction
Most of refractive surgery patients are using active the internet and its hudge field of information, privatly and for business reasons. They are well informed about recent  technologies and the availability of eye surgery centers and clinics. Experience reports, personal opinions and recommandations are available to read for everybody and the potential patients via the internet. [2]

Wavefront oriented refractive cataract- & lense surgery
With our Intraoperative Oculare Wavefront Aberrometer I-O-W-A is the optimization potential for the result refraction measurable already during the surgery and even correctable. By fitting up the surgery microscopes with our I-O-W-A system, the patients and surgeons as our customers will benefit from the possibilities of the intraoperative aberrometry. At the same time their ideas and experiences help us in further development of our technology.

Research and Development
The further development of the "Wavefront oriented refractive lense surgery" is focused on the automatic identification and compensation of intraoperativ influence factors, the improvement of the IOL selection (optic-refractive biometry and raytracing), the minimizing of decentering and tilting of intraocular lenses (IOLs), implantable contact lenses (ICLs) and Add-On lenses (IOL navigation) and minimazing the residual astigmatism during the cataract- and cornea surgery.
